Runway looks are usually so over-the-top that it's hard to pick out what can actually be pulled off in real life. But this season, there are some makeup and beauty trends that could easily be taken from the catwalk to the streets of Cairo. Take a look at our compilation of this Fall's biggest, most wearable beauty trends:
From Chanel to Stella McCartney to Jean Paul Gaultier, the bold brow look was brought out by the biggest designers for Fall 2013. This trend isn't going anywhere, so if you haven't started growing out your brows, now is the time. For brows that just need a little definition, you can fill in your brows with a powder or pencil product.
The Cat Eye
We've expressed our love of the cat eye before here on The Cairo Closet. And the love has carried on strongly into Fall 2013.
Copper Eye Shadow
A major eye shadow trend this season is the copper-orange shade. This color creates a fun, vibrant look that is both youthful and warm. Givenchy, BCBG, and J.Mendel all used this look for their shows.
Dark Red/Wine Hue Lips
If you're not used to the wine-colored lip, it'll take some working up to. The berry color gives your look an edgy (yet, sophisticated) finish. Pair these daring lips with subtle eye makeup and you're out the door! The beauty of going extreme with your lips is being able to go simple with everything else.
The other extreme for lips this season is the nude lip. While the wine-stained look works for subtle eyes, nude lips are the perfect match for played-up eyes. Just a slick of sheer gloss gives your lips a softer look. Or try lightening yours lips using a hint of foundation mixed with a sheer lip balm.
Warm coral/peach tones are universally flattering and work on most skin tones. They're also a major trend for Fall/Winter, as opposed to last season's more pinkish tones.
A noticeable Fall 2013 runway trend in nails was the classic red. Burberry, Chanel, and Valentino all finished off their models' looks with various shades of red in their shows. Get that red polish out and give yourself this classic manicure!
